Fort Myers Woman Arrested After Throwing Machete At Neighbor Over Loud Noise
We all know that Florida Man is capable of anything, and now a Fort Myers woman has been arrested after throwing a machete at a neighbor over loud noise.
I get up at 4am for work and because I go to bed so early, I know all too well about trying to get to sleep when others are being loud. But I also realize that 8:30pm is not really all that late, so I can't get too upset. Midnight, on the other hand, is late to be partying, especially on a Monday and one Florida woman right here in Fort Myers was NOT having it and went to extreme measures to try to stop it.
The incident happened Monday around midnight when Jamie Dos Santos said he was trying to sleep. According to NBC2, neighbors were partying near his home off 10th Ave in Pine Manor, so he walked outside and asked if they could quiet down. Perfectly reasonable right? Well, his request wasn't met with a nice response. Not. At. All. He got beer bottles thrown at him, but that wasn't even the worst part.
What Did This Fort Myers Woman Do?
Neighbor, Fort Myers woman, Ruby Mancha grabbed a machete and threw it at his face. Thankfully Dos Santos said he was able to duck so it didn't hit him and it his his trailer instead. While Dos Santos told NBC2 he didn't think she was trying to kill him, it had to have been a scary encounter. Interesting though, that it was Mancha that called 911 seemingly on herself because after reviewing video, it was her that was arrested. And she put up quite a fight. Lee County Sheriff deputies said they had to put shackles on her legs while they drove her to jail.
Mancha is now facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
