Barefoot Florida Man Leaves Hockey Game To Wrestle 8 Foot Alligator In The Street
It's just another day in Florida when you see a barefoot Florida man wrestling an 8 foot alligator in the streets of Jacksonville. Mike Dragich, an MMA fighter who goes by @bluecollar_brawler on Instagram in also a licensed alligator trapper. When the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) about the alligator, Mike was at a hockey game nearby. Mike left the game, caught the alligator, then went back to the game. But why isn't he wearing shoes?
He Left a Hockey Game to Wrestle This 8 Foot Alligator.
The alligator is clearly startled and is getting aggressive around a lot of people. It's amazing how many of them are just standing around holding up their phones to record it. Ya'll in Jacksonville should be running. That guy with the GI Joe shirt shoulda jumped in to help.
This Alligator Capture Leaves Me With Questions.
Although this really plays out like just another day in Florida, this video brings up some questions. First up, why is he barefoot? Did he take off his shoes to wrestle the alligator? If so - why? At least put on some Crocs. Right?
The next question I have came from the story. Mike left a hockey game, drove 5 minutes down the road, captured this 8 foot alligator, then returned to the game. Don't all arenas have a no re-entry policy. Maybe he showed them this video and got that waved.
Speaking of hockey, even though it doesn't say it in the story there's a good chance the hockey game he was attending was the Jacksonville Ice Men taking on the Florida Everblades. The Everblades took that game in overtime to tie the playoff series at 1-1. The next game is Wednesday in Estero, Florida. The Everblades have won back to back championships and are looking for a three-peat. Hopefully we don't see an 8 foot alligator in parking lot at Hertz Arena.
Here's another story on Mike Dragich
Florida Man Mike Dragich Captures 10 Foot Alligator At Jacksonville Elementary School
Florida Man Mike Dragich is the total package. He's a local veteran in Jacksonville. He's an MMA fighter. And he's the guy they call when a Florida alligator becomes a problem. That's what happened last week with this 10 foot beast showed up in a parking lot at a Jacksonville elementary school.
Mike is a licensed trapper and knows what he's doing. Don't try this at home. He told Fox 35 ""We get there. I walked through the gate. And boom. There it was just ready to go right there in the parking lot, and we just had to get the job done."
We've seen a lot of alligator videos lately. We're right on the end of alligator mating season, so hopefully it'll slow down soon. But here's at least one more before the beasts calm down.
When I saw the video, even before Mike got to the gator you can see that thing didn't stand a chance. I wouldn't get near that thing without a suit of armor. This guy is sleeveless. I mean, what are the rest of the people there to do? I guess he needs someone to pass him the tape. That seems to be about it. This guy knows what he's doing.
The gator takedown
This is just nuts. With all the people screaming it was quite the scene.
So, what do you do for fun?
You could charge for these shows. How do you show no fear?
Is he even human?
That is some scary stuff. A true Florida Man.
Like he said earlier, don't try this at home
I can't even. I'm flinching just watching these videos.
