Jason Kelce Upstaged Taylor Swift at Chiefs Game

Jason Kelce holding a football ; Taylor Swift watching a Chiefs game.

The Kansas City Chiefs playing at the Buffalo Bills featured many of the NFL's top superstars going head-to-head on the field. However, up in VIP suite Jason Kelce was sitting with Taylor Swift and putting on a show of his own. Even though this was an incredible football game, the older Kelce brother may have been the star of the night. And he may have had a bigger viral moment than any of Swift's.

Jason, whose Philadelphia Eagles were eliminated last week when they were defeated by the Tampa Bay Bucs, is expected to officially announce his retirement soon. Though it was widely spread that Kelce told his teammates his playing days were now done, he has not confirmed this news publicly yet. Nonetheless, his offseason (and imminent retirement) is off to a blazing start.

Travis Kelce was, of course, on the field with the Chiefs, playing for a spot in the NFL's version of the final four. The Chiefs all-pro tight end crushed the Bills for two touchdowns, leading the team to a thrilling 27-24. His New Heights podcast partner and older brother was crushing everything else just a few levels up in Highmark Stadium.

Jason Makes A Young Swifties Night

Barstool Sports recently shared a video of Jason Kelce bringing a young girl carrying a  "I Love T Swift"  sign up to the window of his suite to say hi to Travis Kelce's girlfriend. Perhaps you have heard that Kelce is dating Taylor Swift? Earlier in the game, Kelce flashed a heart symbol in the end zone after scoring a touchdown.

Now, let's explain what happened in this video. One of the first times we see the TV cameras capture Jason in the suite, he is shirtless (in the Buffalo open-air) and fist-pumping shortly after Travis' big play. In his hand is a beer can that stands no chance of survival. Though we did see Swift occasionally cheering, hugging Donna Kelce or Brittany Mahomes, CBS and everyone else with a camera phone, was fixated on the fun Jason was having. It certainly helped that his brother was a key part of a fantastic game. However, the storyline for #62 was equally compelling, hilarious, and on-brand.

Of course, he was shirtless and pounding cans of beer, sharing a suite with the biggest pop star of the moment Then, we see Kelce leap out of the box with great agility, and head into the stands. Again, he chugs a few beers with welcoming Bills fans.

Kelce then brought a young girl in his arms to show her sign to Taylor Swift in person. This is another reason the public loves Kelce. He just seems like a great guy. One that you can enjoy partying with, but he still knows he's there to support his family. Along the way, why not make a young fan's night with a memorable gesture.

The Baltimore Era

The Chiefs will now travel to Baltimore to face the top-seeded Ravens in Baltimore next Sunday. It's fair to expect Swift and Kelce to be there cheering on. Jason Kelce deserves all the joy his eventual retirement will bring. It seems to look good on him already.
