The Miami Dolphins are in First Place in the AFC

Through 13 weeks of the NFL, the Miami Dolphins are in first place in the AFC. Those are words that haven't been (accurately) said since December of 1988. Right now the Miami Dolphins are tied with the Baltimore Ravens with a 9-3 record. The two teams trailing the Fins and Ravens both lost in week 13 as favorites (Chiefs lost to the Packers and the Jaguars lost to the Bengals).. The Dolphins and Ravens play in Baltimore on December 31st. The winner of that game will have the inside track for the #1 seed in the AFC playoffs. But right now the Miami Dolphins are in first place in the AFC. And with games against the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets on the horizon, they don't look like they're giving it up any time soon.

So, how did we get here? The Miami Dolphins' greatest weakness is also their strength. The average NFL fan will say that the Miami Dolphins are incapable of beating the best teams in the league. However, that is only half of the story. The Miami Dolphins are in first place in the AFC because they beat the teams they are supposed to beat. Miami's losses have all come away from Hard Rock Stadium. And all to teams at least fighting for their playoff life (Buffalo, Kansas City, Philadelphia). Why do the Dolphins not get credit for beating all of the lesser teams on their schedule? The Eagles have lost to the Jets this year. The Cowboys lost to the Cardinals. Kansas City dropped a game to the Broncos. The Miami Dolphins are in first place in the AFC because they take care of their business against the teams they should beat.

The NFL Season is well underway for 2023.  Lots of people out there, both men and women, LOVE football.  It's action packed.  It's exciting.  It's entertaining.  It's all of those things.  But, if you're just not into football, Sundays can be very boring and very long, especially if you're not aware of the Hottest NFL Coaches of 2023.

I happen to be a woman who really enjoys the game.  It all began when I started playing Fantasy football and when my kids began to play flag football.

Fantasy gave me a reason to care about all of the games and not just the Miami Dolphins games, which haven't always been the most fun to watch, until this season.

Now that I pay more attention to the games, I'm finding myself paying even more attention to the sidelines.  Not for the players, but for the coaches!  I mean have you seen some of these coaches?

I shared my list of the hottest NFL coaches ahead of the Super Bowl in 2022 and I thought it was time to update.  If you're not into football, no worries.  You don't really have to care about the game itself to enjoy this list.  And, you should be well aware about what you could be missing out on, on the sidelines.

As I said with my last list of hottest NFL Coaches, there's no real methodology here, although swagger and presentation did come into play.  And apparently it doesn't hurt to have a beard.  So, without further ado, here is my list of the Top 10 Hottest NFL Coaches of 2023:  Ranked.
