If you're terrified of heights and water, then going over a bridge has to be really scary. If that's the case, then you might want to avoid the world's scariest bridges. I actually really enjoy bridges, but if the drivers on those bridges are crazy, then it gets way scarier. Hopefully people are smart enough to drive carefully when going over these massive bridges. It's common sense. Well, as it turns out, Florida has one of the world's scariest bridges.

The study comes from TravelandLeisure.com, which states, "All bridges serve a purpose, whether utilitarian or inspirational, but some of them, like Musou Tsuribashi — this shaky, 50-year-old crossing in southern Japan — add a distinct element of fear. You don't have to be in a remote part of the world either; scary bridges exist everywhere, in all shapes, sizes, and heights." They add that not all of these bridges are super old or worn down. Some of them are simply terrifying for other reasons.

Before we get to our state, let's look at the scariest bridge in the world. It's the Aiguille du Midi Bridge in France. " At this elevation — a whopping 12,605 feet above sea level and 9,209 feet from the floor of the valley — you'll want to keep your eyes locked on the panorama of the craggy French Alps," TravelandLeisure.com states. Yikes.

So, which Florida bridge is one of the world's scariest bridges? The Seven Mile Bridge, of course. It's obviously seven miles long. The publication notes that the bridge's "position in the Florida Keys makes it a prime target for the region's many hurricanes. The newest version of the bridge scrapped the original concept in lieu of a sturdier 65-foot-high arch to allow boats to pass under." They say that it "may be sturdier" but they "wouldn't want to be on it during a storm." Find the full list here.
