It's a been a long awaited proclamation but it's finally here. The grand opening for Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach is official and all systems are go. At the begining of the month, reservations for a stay at Margaritaville moved up to December 21st. The goal was to welcome guests to spend the holidays with their toes in the Southwest Florida sand. And it is going to happen.
The official announcement was released today and included an invitation for News Years Eve. The Susnet Terrace will feature live music, food, drinks and VIP views of the fireworks typically set off over the water. The resort is at the north end of the island. It is just as you cross the Matanzass Pass Bridge on Cresecent Street. Margaritaville covers 7.25 acres and offers dirct beach access via a pedestrian bridge
There are 254 guest rooms and six restaurants. They include signature concepts such as award winning JWB Grill, License to Chill and 5’o’clock Somewhere Bar and Grill. Also, the beachside Fins Up Beach Club. All restaurants, as well as the 43,000-square-foot Sunset Terrace, are open to the public.

When it comes to luxury accommodations, the sky is the limit when it comes to the price per night and one Florida hotel is among the most expensive in America.
When I travel, the type of hotel I stay in really depends on how much time I plan on spending there and what amenities I plan on using. I took myself on a little getaway up to Clearwater Beach a few months ago and went with a higher-end resort so I could take advantage of the bars/restaurants, bike & kayak rentals, the complimentary beach chairs and the rooftop pool. When I go to Disney, I like to stay on property so I can use the park transportation and get in an hour early, plus all their properties are so gorgeous.
