Dogs are more than best friends. A hero dog can be our guardian angel, too. A Florida woman and her loyal four-legged sidekick found themselves in a real-life showdown with a villainous knife-wielding foe. It's like something out of a canine-centric superhero comic book, but it happened on Thursday, October 26, courtesy of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
According to Fox35, our damsel in distress was chilling in her parked car, having a good old-fashioned argument with a fella named Joshua Mueller, who, as it turns out, had quite the flair for theatrics. This poor excuse of a human decided to smash the front driver's side window, and then disappeared into a nearby residence.
He dashed inside a nearby dwelling like a cat burglar, but instead of swiping jewels, he snagged a large kitchen knife. Talk about overdoing it for a spat. Armed with his shiny utensil of doom, Mueller confronted the woman, and things took a chilling turn as he started slashing at her arms.
Hero Dog.
Enter our furry hero, the woman's dog. Just when it seemed like our leading lady was down for the count, her trusty canine sidekick sprang into action. But the villainous Mueller was having none of it and went into full-on supervillain mode, slashing the poor pup's face and chest. What a despicable act! But that didn't stop the dog from saving the day.
The good news is that justice prevailed in the end. Mueller was arrested, and he even spilled the beans during his chat with detectives. Now, both the woman and her brave pup are on the mend. Someone get that dog a treat! A bunch of treats!!
Mueller is now facing some pretty epic charges... Aggravated cruelty to animals with a weapon and aggravated battery with a weapon–great bodily harm. Hopefully, this incident serves as a stark reminder that violence is never the solution, and that heroes can come in all shapes and sizes, even with fur and four legs.
