Traveling in Florida can be expensive. And hotel stays can really eat into your budget. We've covered many extravagant hotels in Florida with endless amenities, but let's do something different. What about hotels that are cheap, but actually kinda nice? Sure, they aren't going to have a world class gym and an attached spa, but sometimes you just need a bed for a good night's sleep. Let me add to that, not constantly worried about having your car stolen or getting stabbed on your way back from the ice machine. Budget hotels in Florida that also have very high ratings.
Savings Spot made a list of 25 hotels across the US that fit this criteria. They found a highly rated Best Western in Houston, Texas for $59 a night. A discount spot in Vegas for $90. Even one in the Los Angles Financial District for $151. Bonus on that LA hotel, there's a Shake Shack just 2 blocks away.
Two Florida hotels made the list of top budget hotels.
Candlewood Suites Miami Exec Airport - Kendall. 73% of reviewers gave this hotel a 5 star rating. It's near the zoo but also just 26 miles from the lush sands of South Beach. At $93 a night with a modern room in a good area. Pool and gym included.
Red Roof Inn Tampa - Brandon. Nearly 48% of reviewers gave this hotel 5 starts. Not bad for a place you can get for $68 dollars a night. It's just off 75 at 60 and you can be in Ybor in 11 minutes. Wanna see the Bucs game? That's a 28 minute drive. Seeing a show at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater? 4 minutes away. Those a very reasonable Uber drives. Here's the hotel link. I actually saw some dates as low as $60.
Now, I can't actually guarantee you won't have your car vandalized or your spouse get jumped in the parking lot when you stay at one of these places. But a lot of people give these places good ratings, so I'll have to say I think your odds are at least better. Now if you just came into money and want to get crazy - I have that list, too.
