I love Southwest Florida,, but I also love leaving to explore the world. Travel gives us new perspective on life. It's also educational on so many levels. However, it can be expensive. Even people who share my wanderlust often find it hard to travel when it comes to finances as well as time. When I find good deals, I like to pass them on in hopes it will help you make your travel desires a reality. The latest deal I found is out of Fort Myers, an airfare sale from RSW with Breeze Airways this week.
This is the time of year many airlines are offering deals for fall travel. Some wave fees for bags, others cut fares. This latest sale has an expiration date. You need to purchase tickets by tomorrow, Thursday, August 24th. It is the airline's first so-called "percent off" promotion for travel.
Airfare sale from RSW
What is the catch? You have to book travel between September 5th and December 19th. It's a perfect time to catch those fall leaves or maybe even plan a Thanksgiving getaway. Push your travel to December and you may even get to experience the Christmas spirit at some of these destinations.
Here is a list of the cities that Breeze Airways serves from Southwest Florida. They are also the ones included in the current promotion.
- Akron-Canton, OH
- Charleston, SC
- Columbus, OH
- Hartford, CT
- Las Vegas, NV
- Louisville, KY
- New Orleans, LA
- Norfolk, VA
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Providence, RI
- Raleigh-Durham, NC
- Richmond, VA
- Syracuse, NY
There is an airfare sale from RSW with Breeze Airways this week, however, there are restrictions so be sure to check the fine print. To get the deals, you need to book direct with Breeze through their website or the app. In addition, you only have until midnight Thursday to book. Happy travels.
Florida Man Humor To Make You Laugh For TikTok Tuesday
Florida is a great place to live. It sure is quirky. But that is part of its charm. Social media always has some crazy story about Floridians. In addition, people who visit from other parts of the country are often taken aback by our weather, our insects and creatures, and lots more. At least one Southwest Florida TikTok user has had great success trying to explain Florida with his funny and unique videos. Here is some of his so-called Florida Man humor to make you laugh for TikTok Tuesday.
I've been following Josh Robinson, AKA omgitswicks, for some time now and I always get a kick out of his characterization of Floridians and how he turns everything from humidity and hurricanes, to mosquitos, into characters for his videos. He is a Southwest Florida native. He gets it, gets us. Robinson is always eating something from the Publix deli in his videos. Another famous prop is his old school flip phone that he allegedly uses to catch the crazy that often times defines Florida. Whatever he is doing works. He has more than 295,000 followers.
Here is a good example of how he tackles the ever changing and every challenging weather we have in Southwest Florida.
If you are on TikTok, you should follow too. However, you do not need a TikTok account to watch these videos that I've assembled. We'll use mine. All you have to do is scroll down and then hit play. They are all office friendly. They are also fun to share with your with your "northern" and "midwestern" friends. If you live in Florida, you will relate, and get a kick out of these videos. There were so many to share that it was hard for me to pick just five.
But here they are. Florida Man humor to make you laugh for TikTok Tuesday.
