When it comes to sushi it's pretty simple. If you want great sushi, it's not gonna be cheap. Sure, you can get ok rolls at Publix, but great? No. The best  I've had in Fort Myers is probably DaRuMa. And then I'd put Blu Sushi a close second. When Hulk Hogan was in town, we went to Blu Sushi. I'd take either one. But if you really want to pay up for sushi. You make the drive to Miami.

Food & Wine ranked the most expensive sushi in the United States and 2 Miami spots made it into their top 5. And by their account, the sushi is well worth the price you'll pay. Is the sushi worth the 2 hour drive from Southwest Florida to Miami? it might be.

Coming in at number 4 on their list is Naoe. Naoe is located on the Brickell Key just off downtown Miami. According to Food & Wine "Chef Kevin Cory serves just 16 guests per night: two seatings of eight guests each." For dinner, it's a  Chef's Choice menu at $280 per person plus 20% service charge and sales tax. It's a whole night, too. Allow 2 to 3 hours for dinner. Also, they don't substitute for allergies. You get what the chef makes. Reservations are required and I suggest you plan well in advance.

The other Miami Sushi to make the list comes in at number 5 on their list.

The multi city Nobu. Nobu is on Collins Avenue on Miami's South Beach. Nobu has an event coming up,  special guest, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa Saturday, May 6th from 8:00-11:00PM $295.00 + Tax Per Person. I suggest a stroll along the Miami Beach Walk after dinner.

A pricey night out at roughly $300 a person, but I am a fan a chef's choice menus. And the locations of those two restaurants are perfect. Close enough to downtown Miami but away from the noise.

Florida Has 2 of the Best Neighborhoods in America

Florida has some great spots to live. As it turns out, two of those areas are among the very best neighborhoods to live in America.

This is according to a new study reported by Niche. According to the publication, "The 'Best Places to Live' ranking provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall livability of an area. This grade takes into account several key factors of a location, including the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics, and access to amenities in an attempt to measure the overall quality of an area." The two most important factors, according to the states on Niche.com's website, are the higher education rate and the cost of living grade."

Niche.com adds, "The same methodology is used to produce the Overall Niche Grade for each ranked place." They also got statistics mainly from the U.S. Census, and those stats "represent the most recent data available." What's nice about this study is that they used actual numbers and facts, instead of just going by reviews or a vibe. They add that, "All Niche reviews and data are scored and standardized so that each place is comparable. We then assign each place to a cohort based on population and urban clustering."
