NBA Playoffs begin Saturday with 4 Games on ESPN & ABC Here's All You Need To Know.

The NBA Playoffs get underway on Saturday and ESPN & ABC has a quadruple header starting at 1 ET with games from coast-to-coast. Here is a guide for all 4 games in the slate.

NBA Playoffs Begin: (6) Nets vs (3) 76ers, 1 ET on ESPN

In the first game of the day the Nets take on the 76ers in Philadelphia. The Sixers swept the season series against the Nets and won by an average margin of 11.3 PPG, led by Joel Embiid’s 31.5 PPG, but The Process did miss 2 of the 4 meetings.

(7) Hawks vs (2) Celtics, 3:30 ET on ESPN

The 2-7 matchup in the East pits the Hawks against the Celtics, a series that saw Boston sweep Atlanta in 3 regular season meetings, including the final game of the regular season on April 9.

The Hawks earned the 7 seed with their play-in victory over the Miami Heat and will look to continue their momentum into a postseason run.

Boston will be led by the highest scoring duo in the NBA this season in Jayson Tatum & Jaylen Brown.

Most PPG by Duo in Single Season Since 1976-77 Merger

2019-20 James Harden & Russell Westbrook 61.6
2002-03 Shaquille O’Neal & Kobe Bryant 57.5
2000-01 Shaquille O’Neal & Kobe Bryant 57.2
2022-23 Jayson Tatum & Jaylen Brown 56.7

(5) Knicks vs (4) Cavaliers, 6 ET on ESPN

The Cavaliers host the Knicks in the 4-5 matchup in the East and are the 3rd-game in the quadruple header.

The Cavaliers are making their first postseason appearance without LeBron James on the roster since 1998.

The Knicks are looking to win their first playoff series since 2013.

(6) Warriors vs (3) Kings, 8:30 ET on ABC

The reigning champions Warriors will make the short trip from San Francisco to Sacramento to take on the Kings in the nightcap.

The Kings will be in the postseason for the first time since 2006 and the two teams are on the completely opposite ends of the experience spectrum heading into the series.

I personally think this is going to be one of the best first round matchups.  Why? Because nobody knows if the Warriors can win on the road.  They finished 11-30 away from home.

The 3rd worst road record from a defending champ ever.

Plus after a long post season layoff for the Kings, it will be like a crazy college atmosphere at the Golden 1 Center.  We will have more on all of this Monday on Shemon and Sheppard 2-6pm.

Also this weekend in Southwest Florida

The annual Cardboard Regatta in Cape Coral is always a great show. To see some of the creative boats people craft. Even more unbelievable that most of them float and can actually make it back to shore.

More and more activity is coming back to Fort Myers Beach following Hurricane Ian. In fact, Diamond Head Resort is opening its doors to the public for the first time this weekend. You can book rooms, enjoy the beach and the beach bar. However, other amenities are still limited while the property continues to undergo repairs.

This is a scene that is slowly returning to Fort Myers Beach following Hurricane Ian. Diamond Head resort reopens this weekend to the public.

It's been more than 6-months since Ian hit. Some days it's still so hard to imagine. While things slowly get better, there is still so much need in our area. We understand things are still challenging for many many people. If you feel like getting out and about, we have a few ideas here. But then again, if you are not feeling so great mentally that is OK. Please take care of yourself. Here are some resources that might help.
