The Deal Of KD to Phoenix

The Phoenix Suns are acquiring Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade, sources tell ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Nets will receive a package centered around Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, 4 unprotected first round picks and a first round pick swap in 2028.

Durant has not played since Jan. 8 after spraining his MCL, but prior to the injury was playing some of his best basketball in his career. He is on pace to become the 1st player in NBA history to average 25 points, 55% FG and 90% FT in a season and brings his well decorated scoring acumen to the Suns. Durant has the 4th-highest scoring average of any player in NBA history.

One of the hallmarks of Durant’s offensive impact is his consistency, Durant has posted 14 seasons of 25 or more PPG, that is the 2nd-most in NBA history behind LeBron James’ 19.

Durant is having an incredibly efficient season with his jumper, especially off-the-dribble. According to Second Spectrum, Durant is shooting 54.7% on off-the-dribble jumpers, the highest rate in the NBA (min. 100 FGA).

Can The Phoenix Suns Win Their First Title Now That They Have Kevin Durant?

The Suns have never won a NBA title and are at 54 consecutive seasons entering 2022-23 without an NBA title. That is the 3rd longest active streak only behind the Kings (71) and Hawks (64).

The impact of this trade sends ripple affects throughout the league and the way that each team goes forward in the playoff picture also takes shape, the Nets outlook according to ESPN analytics has taken a major dip while the Suns see their title chances increase.

We will keep you updated all day on the Shemon and Sheppard Show 2-6pm.

If you're like half of the population of Americans, watching television before bed is a part of your nighttime routine. Sleep experts at Bestmattress-brand conducted a survey in which they found that 60% of Americans watch TV before bed. Of that, over 50% of the participants watch TV 5-7 days per week before hitting the hay. The research shows that 50.9% of Americans start watching TV between 9 pm and 11 pm. 42%. They then stop watching TV between 11 pm and 1 am.

A spokesperson from the mattress brand commented: “It's common for us to want to enjoy our favorite TV shows before bed, however too much artificial light, especially right before we think we might try to fall asleep, can increase our alertness and impair our ability to fall asleep naturally."

They advised, "So, if you are wanting to watch TV before bed it is recommended to switch it off 30 minutes before you are about to sleep so as to allow your mind to prepare for a good night's sleep.”
