Wrong Scott Stallings Invited to The Masters

Wrong Scott Stallings invited to The Masters

The turn of the calendar from one year to the other means one big event in the golf world; Masters invitations. Right around Christmas the Augusta National Club sends out invitations to the upcoming edition of The Masters. Scott Stallings qualified for the 2023 Masters Tournament following his Tour Championship appearance at the end of the 2021/22 season. Every invitee for The Masters looks forward to receiving their invitation at this time of the year. Even guys like Tiger and Phil who have been teeing it up in Augusta regularly for the past 3 decades hold this moment in high regard. Imagine the excitement for Scott Stallings, who will be making his third appearance in the year's first major. But in a strange turn of events the wrong Scott Stallings was invited to The Masters.

Scott Stallings, no the golfer, is a realtor in the Atlanta area. He received the prestigious invitation not on merit, but on a coincidence. Here is the social media post the realtor sent out.

Stallings, the golfer, thought his wife had intercepted the invitation and planned something around Christmas. But after December 25th, when the golfer did not receive anything from his wife, he started to get worried. Stallings would check the mailbox five times a day... his words, not mine. Stallings, the golfer, is taking care of the man with the same name. The two Scotts will both be at Augusta National the second week of April as the golfer is gifting the realtor some practice round tickets. And then the two have dinner planned for that night. Good on both Scotts for doing the right thing as the wrong Scott Stallings was invited to The Masters.
