Lasko Donated 2,000 Home Environment Products In Port Charlotte to Aid in Hurricane Ian Restoration

Lasko Port Charlotte

I've been looking for good stories surrounding the Hurricane Ian cleanup and I found one in Port Charlotte. Lasko is  delivering products to Port Charlotte and neighboring areas. Lasko sent a truck with water damage restoration and ventilation products. These products will aid those affected by the disastrous weather and flooding caused by the recent storm.  Products included in the donation included a variety of fans, air movers, air purifiers, and dehumidifiers. The donation will assist those affected by helping to eliminate excess moisture and humidity. This will keep the air clean from mold, spores, and dust; and provide long-term air quality control.

To facilitate the donation, Lasko is partnering with All Hands and Hearts, an organization committed to addressing the immediate and long-term needs of global communities impacted by disasters. All Hands and Hearts recently pledged to remain in southwest Florida with a volunteer-powered program for a minimum of 12 months. They conduct mucking and gutting, mold sanitization, and partial and complete home rebuild projects on houses damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Ian.  Lasko's donation will make a significant impact.

Lasko Supplies will be distributed to the residents of Port Charlotte, Florida, and surrounding neighborhoods this week. THANK YOU LASKO!!!!!!!!!!

In additional Port Charlotte news:

The last day residents can apply for Operation Blue Roof has been extended. The program now goes through Nov. 1 for homeowners in Charlotte County affected by Hurricane Ian.

The Operation Blue Roof program is a free service for homeowners. They provide a temporary solution that protects their property and allows them to remain in their home as they continue to recover.

Homeowners impacted by Hurricane Ian can sign-up at Blueroof.us, by calling toll free 1-888-ROOF-BLU (1-888-766-3258) or stop one of the many in-person sign-up locations. A list of current sign-up locations is found on the website.

Operation Blue Roof is a priority mission managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The goal of the Blue Roof program provides homeowners in disaster areas with fiber-reinforced, industrial-strength sheeting. This protects storm-damaged roofs until homeowners can make permanent repairs.

Not all roof types qualify for the program. Check the Blueroof.us website for details.
