The Latest cone for Hurricane Ian has Hurricane Warnings stretching into Collier County. Evacuation notices have occurred.
According to NBC2 "Collier County has issued a mandatory evacuation notice for Zone A. Those living in the immediate coastal areas, west and south of US Highway 41".

Collier has also opened up shelters. Oak Ridge Middle School, Corkscrew Middle School, Golden Gate Middle School, and Immokalee Middle School are all open. They are serving as pet-friendly shelters. If you don't have a pet with you, Golden Gate High School, Gulf Coast High School, and Immokalee High School. Those are all serving as non-pet friendly pet shelters.
