This Florida Woman story comes out of Tarpon Springs. 23 year old Jazmyne Cecilia Levesque was already in jail for a previous offense when the assault occurred. On Monday she tied to shoplift 87 cosmetic products valued at a total of $2,369.38 from Ulta beauty. According to WFLA "After being read her rights, the suspect said she took the items to “beautify” herself. She was booked on a charge of retail theft." A fairly minor charge. The penalties for a shoplifting charge depend on the value of the alleged stolen merchandise and the defendant's prior criminal history. The police report states that they watched her stashing the items on her person on the security cameras and then watched as she walked out the door.
And then, yesterday (Thursday 7/28/2022).
Jazmyne was being moved to a pod. WFLA quotes the arrest documents "After being read her rights, Levesque said she punched the deputy “because she was bored.”
The deputy was treated at a walk in clinic. No word on what Florida Woman Jazmyne will be charged with on this, but it kinda sounds like a felony to me. I'm guessing felony for 'boredom'. Although boredom is actually much better than than malicious intent.
Sorry I don't have the picture of the assault. But if you're still looking for a fight video, I'll leave you with this:
Remember once upon a time when a fight would break out at a Waffle House and everyone would freak out and there'd be police and news coverage? Now it's just expected. You go to Waffle House enough and you're going to see something. I'm not even sure where this fight happened but there's a lot going on to take in. The main part is that I'm seeing that knowing how to fight is a requirement if you're going to work nights at Waffle House. Watch this dude square up, it's not his first time. His backup came around the corner with a skillet. But the best part? Twitter got jokes.
