Now Possums Have Taken Over the Press Box At The Oakland A’s Stadium

No one is going to Oakland A's games and the animals are taking over. You remember that show "Life After People" where wildlife and vegetation begin to take back the earth after humans are gone? Well, "Life After People" is happening at the Oakland Coliseum. Last month I wrote "There’s a 54 to 1 Fan To Cat Ratio At Oakland A’s Home Games". I'm sure you all enjoyed the math involved in that. Well, now possums have invaded the press box.

I couldn't do the math because they're not yet able to determine just how many possums are living within the stadium. You see, cats are less shy and have more noticeable markings. Possums generally avoid confrontation with people and hide until the coast is clear. So if this possum is climbing down from the ceiling during a game he's either one bold critter - or there's a LOT of possums hiding out. With less than 3,000 fans showing up to most games who knows what other wildlife might decide to move in. Perhaps when (if) the team moves to Vegas, they can just make the Oakland Coliseum into a wildlife refuge. It seems to already be heading that way. The question Craig had was "Do possums and cats get along?"

The Tampa Bay Lightning came from behind so many times in Round 1 with their battle with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Down 1-0 in the series, they came back. Down 2-1, they came back. Down 3-2, they came back. When all was said and done Saturday night, it was just one goal that made the difference in Game 7. Your Tampa Bay Lightning will move on. The season is over for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Lightning will now play in another best of 7 series, this time with the Florida Panthers. The I-75 rivalry will have a new chapter. The Panthers will have home ice advantage so the first two games will be down in Sunrise, Florida. The series will then move to Tampa for Games 3 and 4.
