Florida joined dozens of states that have approved mobile sports betting Wednesday in a gambling deal with the state’s Seminole Tribe.

The State's Seminole Tribe, which owns the Hard Rock hotel and casino brand, has promised a $2.5 billion cut over 30 years to state coffers, according to the News-Press.

But don't get too excited just yet. Federal regulators in the U.S. Department of Interior must approve the bill to ensure its guarantee of $500 million in revenue sharing with the state is fair to the Seminole Tribe and legal for the state.

The deal, known as a gambling compact, has been quite controversial and could face lawsuits by groups opposed to more gambling in the state.
