Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine Expected To Develop Into Isaias

Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is expected to become Tropical Storm Isisas as early as today, before reaching the Leeward Islands, according to the National Hurricane Center.

As of 11 a.m., the disturbance had maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour and was moving west at 23 miles per hour.

"The long-range forecast for soon-to-be Isaias is highly uncertain, but it’s possible south Florida will see impacts from a tropical system this weekend–to what extent, it’s just too early to know at this time," according to NBC2.

A tropical storm warning was issued for Puerto Rico, including Vieques, and Culebra, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
