Dana White's "Fight Island" scheme might finally be happening this month.

The UFC president has been working on hosting matches at a remote island, and says he's aiming for a June 27th debut, featuring lightweights Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker and a women's match featuring Aspen Ladd and Sara McMann.

While the location of 'Fight Island' remains a secret, White says the undertaking has been "****ing expensive" and "almost impossible to pull off".

Should other sports look into holding games on a private island? Can UFC gain new fans if it holds events before the NBA, NHL, or MLB return?
