When NBA star Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus back in March, the entire major sports world shut down to protect players and fans.

But that won't be the case when it's time for the seasons to resume, at least in the NFL, according to the league's chief medical officer.

"We fully well expect we will have positive cases that arise," said Dr. Allen Sills, adding, "Our challenge is to identify them as quickly as possible and prevent them from spreads to any other participants."

As for when football will see the first kick-off, Sills says it's still too early to give a date, but notes, "We're moving as fast as the data takes us."
