Former NFL cornerback Eric Patterson was killed in a shooting incident over the weekend.
Police say Patterson was fatally shot inside his Tampa, Florida home early Saturday morning by an unknown assailant. He was rushed to a hospital but later died of his injuries.
Patterson was a star player at Ball State and spent three years in the NFL, including stints with the Patriots, Colts, Rams, and Browns.
