Sad news to report, as the former First Lady, Barbara Bush has passed away.
Several publications, including People Magazine, broke the news moments ago.
A statement from George H.W. Bush's office announced her passing.
Her death comes after she had reportedly been in poor health recently, and had refused treatment for various health issues.
The former First Lady was known as a political matriarch and a champion for literacy around the country.
During her lifetime, she wrote many books for children, in addition to a memoir.
