It's Veteran's Day, so first and foremost, if you served our country in the military, let the Shemon and Sheppard Show offer you a hearty thank you for your service and sacrifice!!  Today we will offer Veteran's Day Military Trivia for Wiki-Pete-ia on the Shemon and Sheppard Show on ESPN Southwest Florida.

And GOOD NEWS!  Our phones are back for the first time since Hurricane Ian!

In case you are not fortunate enough to be lucky caller number nine at 239-337-ESPN, then you are in luck!  Play at home and dazzle your family!  Stump your co-workers with useless knowledge!  Amaze your friends with your newfound intelligence!  Below are the actual questions AND ANSWERS heard during Wiki-Pete-ia on our show.

The military has been one of the most, if not THE most important organization in our country's history.  In fact, much of our military pre-dates the birth of our country.  The National Guard has been around since 1636!  The Army, Navy, and Marine Corps came into existance in 1775 and the  Coast Guard arrived in 1790.

As technology advanced other services were required.  The Air Force was created in 1947 and more recently, the Space Force arrived in 2019.

Again, thank you Veterans!  It's Veteran's Day Military Trivia so let's play Wiki-Pete-ia!
