There wasn't a lot of excitement to be found during the Cardinals Braves game which saw a MAJOR rain delay as storms rolled through Atlanta on the Fourth Of July. The Cardinals Braves game did see some early action as the Braves scored five runs in the second and were up by 6 after two. It was a great start, but scoring runs takes a lot of time, and when the rains rolled in around 9pm they were in for a long delay. That's when 2 fans decided they were tired of waiting and decided to bring the action to the field themselves. Unfortunately, they were NOT quicker than security. Here's the game's mlb timeline:

Here Comes The Rain

2 Hours Later....

It wasn't until after 1 AM when the game wrapped with a Braves 6-3 win

The real action happened just before 10p

That's when a couple of fans decided that waiting out the rain delay was not the choice they wanted. They rushed the outfield in an attempt to do - well - I really don't know what the plan was, if any. Security was not having it, and the takedowns were swift. Turn up your speakers and you'll hear the commentary from the press box.

And, they're out.
