Trivia about the movie Stripes seems like a fun way to celebrate the U.S. Army which was born on this day in 1775. That's 248 years ago! And our country would not be here if it weren't for the Army.
Quick lesson before we begin: In 1775, the military consisted of several pockets of militia groups throughout New England. There was no chain of command or leadership as the Revolutionary war loomed in the near future. In order to unify, our patriots unanimously chose George Washington to be General and Commander in Chief. And, as they say, the rest is history.
On a much lighter scale, we will honor the Army with Trivia from one of the best Army comedy movies of all time; Stripes. Stripes starred Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and a Hollywood newcomer, John Candy. The movie is truly hilarious.
