On this day in 1954, Bill Haley released Rock Around the Clock. This song is considered by many to be the first real rock and roll song, ushering in a new style of music. The kids of the 50’s loved it. Parents feared it. The song is such a classic that it has appeared in too many movies and TV shows to count. As far as TV shows go, the most famous one to use the tune was Happy Days, a mid 70’s TV sitcom that used the snappy tune during the show’s opening credits.
So, today we will have fun with Happy Days trivia on Wiki-Pete-ia on the Shemon and Sheppard Show on ESPN Southwest Florida. We play Wiki-Pete-ia for prizes each day around 4:45 ish.
