BEST BET: Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday, January 16th
Yes, a few weeks ago the Chiefs completely embarrassed the Steelers 38-10. I’m aware of this, but we all know how people love narratives and this is Big Ben’s last hoorah.
Combine that with Tomlins experience in the playoffs, I think this is going to be a lot more closer than what people anticipate. The Chiefs’ secondary was exposed at times during the season and the Steelers have a good enough receiving core to make this a rather competitive game.
With that line sitting at (+12.5) right now, I think the Steelers will score enough to cover this with TJ Watt playing on the other side of the ball.
In a perfect world, I’m going to say the Steelers take a early lead in this one, but they wont be able to overcome Mahomes and the Chiefs will squeak this one out by 6-10.
PICK: Steelers to COVER the spread (+12.5)
BEST PROP: Diontae Johnson o62.5 receiving yards
It’s clear that Big Ben’s favorite receiver this year is DJ, and he has a favorable matchup in this one. Last time they played he had 6 catches for 51 yards, but one thing here stands out big time. He had NINE targets which lead the team.
Big Ben knows this could be his last time ever being in the playoffs so look for him to find DJ early on in this game where this number could cash on a long TD pass early on.
GAME 2 – Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sunday, January 16th
Tom Brady is back in the playoffs against the Philly Eagles. We all know betting against Tom Brady is no bueno, but he did nothing for me this year when I bet him so I am going to go against him for a change because I know the Eagles know the recipe to keep this close (I sure hope so, anyways).
Last time these teams met, the Bucs won 28-22. During this time the Eagles basically vanished every aspect of their running game. Fast forward to Wild Card weekend, and they now lead the league in rushing.
With the Eagles know running the ball well, plus Godwin and AB being done for the season, The Eagles keep this one within a touchdown.

PICK: Eagles to COVER the spread (+8.5)
