Back in the day, the fledgling FOX Network was not considered a real network like NBC, ABC, and CBS. It had a few successes like the Simpsons and X-Files, but not much more. And nobody took FOX seriously enough when considering major sports programming. That all changed when Rupert Murdoch opened the money vault and outbid everyone for the rights to the NFC. Then he hired Pat Summerall and John Madden to be his lead announcers. That's the move that made FOX legitimate and they haven't looked back since. So, let's play Wiki-Pete-ia! Good luck!
