Some wild video here from Stuart, Florida. Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputies jumping onto a burning boat to pull a man to safety. Marine Deputy Buddy Sprott and Deputy Dan Hill are the ones you’ll see in the video jumping onto an already on fire boat and barely hesitating after an explosion. Here’s the full writeup from Martin County Sheriff’s Office facebook page:

BOAT EXPLODES AS MCSO MARINE UNIT DEPUTIES JUMP INTO INFERNO TO SAVE UNRESPONSIVE MAN (video contains explicit language and may be upsetting to some)
A home video security camera captured the intense moments that MCSO Marine Deputy Buddy Sprott and Deputy Dan Hill jumped onto a burning boat to rescue an unconscious man on the vessel. The incident happened Sunday evening in the Mantee Pocket near Pirates Cove.
As you can see in the video, the deputies work to pull the man from the flames seconds before the boat explodes. They manage to get the victim off of the boat before the vessel is consumed in flames. The heat was so intense that part of the MCSO Marine vessel melted.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, the Deputies were not injured. This story is still developing. We will have updates as information is available.
