GREATEST STREAKS IN SPORTS

Let's go streaking! No, I'm not quoting Will Ferrell in Old School. Instead, I want to look at the greatest streaks in sports. Why? First of all, why not? Second, this is the anniversary of Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak coming to an end in 1941. It was one of the greatest feats in sports.

Sports are all about numbers. When we were kids, we collected baseball cards and memorized the stats on the back of the card. Over time, there are numbers, stats and streaks that just stand out and they are committed to memory. For most of us anyway.

So, today we will test that knowledge with streaks-in-sports trivia during Wiki-Pete-ia on the Shemon and Sheppard Show on ESPN Southwest Florida. We play Wiki-Pete-ia every weekday at 4:45 ish! Just be lucky caller number 9 at 239-337-3776 or 239-337-ESPN and take on Pete in trivia for prizes.
