Pete Sheppard said on air Monday that the Buccaneers are the most talented offense Tom Brady has ever played in. This might be true, but when he said the Bucs have 2 Randy Moss’s on their team it caused a bit of a debate. We were trying to figure out where Mike Evans fits in current wide receiver rankings. Here is the definitive list of the top-10 wide receivers in the NFL.

• 10. Justin Jefferson

  In Jefferson's first season in the NFL he lit opposing DB's up to the tune of 88 receptions for 1,400 yards and 7 touchdowns. That's with Kirk Cousins throwing him the ball too! He can easily jump into the top-5 with another elite season.

• 9. Mike Evans

  Mike Evans has not been in the top-10 in receiving yards since 2018, but make no mistake- he is a top-10 receiver. He is the best red zone target (excluding tight ends) in the league. His ability to high point the football is elite. He probably won't put up gaudy numbers again this season, but that's due to how many mouths there are to feed in the Buccaneers offense.

• 8. AJ Brown

  If Brown played in an offense that threw the ball just a little bit more he would put up the elite numbers that he is capable of. The fact is Tennessee was one of 3 teams in the NFL last year that ran the ball more than they threw it. Brown is 1 of 4 players to have at least 70 receptions and average 15 yards per reception. the 11 touchdowns on 70 receptions last year is an unreal stat.
• 7. Calvin Ridley

  This guy does not get the respect he deserves. He was top-5 in receiving yards last season, averaged over 15 yards per receptions, and found pay dirt 9 times in 15 games. In his first season where he was the clear cut #1 option in the passing game he put up elite numbers. Those number will continue to improve as Atlanta's offense gets a face lift under Arthur Smith.

• 6. DK Metcalf

  Undoubtedly the most physically imposing wide receiver in the game right now. Last season he recorded over 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career, and he shattered that number by over 300 yards. Once he figures out the art of route running he will be the most dominant wide out in the league.

• 5. Michael Thomas

  His 2020 campaign was mauled by injuries- he only played in 7 regular season games. Factor that with Drew Brees's obvious regression last season, and it makes sense why he only had 438 yards and 0 touchdowns. But his 2019 season shattered the record books; 149 rec, 1,725 yds, 9TD. We will see how he does with Jamies or Taysum Hill this season, but regardless of the stats he is a top-5 receiver.
• 4. Stefon Diggs

  Exclusively speaking about raw talent, I don't think Diggs is a top-5 receiver. However, you can't argue with his output in 2020. He led the league in receiving yards, caught an amazing 76.5% of his targets, and added an explosiveness to the Bills offense that took the offense over the top. Barring injury to him or Josh Allen, it's tough to imagine a big regression in 2021.

• 3. Tyreek Hill

  The top-3 are pretty obvious. Hill is the most explosive wide receiver in the NFL. I often imagine what he would look like without Patrick Mahomes throwing him the ball. Hill is the perfect receiver to pair with Mahomes, who can overthrow just about anyone not named Tyreek Hill in the league. He is a walking touchdown whenever and wherever the Chiefs are on the field.

• 2. Devante Adams

  I can hear Packers fans now: you're crazy! How is our guy not #1! The media hates us... Get over it! Adams is an absolute stud and has the number to back it up. If Aaron Rodgers doesn't show up this season Jordan Love will have a great security blanket in Adams.
• 1. DeAndre Hopkins

  Is there a more iconic photo from the 2020 season? D-Hop is 1 of 2 receivers to be in the top-10 in receiving yards each of the last 2 seasons (DJ Moore is the other). He can high point the ball, make big plays after the catch, and beat double teams routinely. Other fan bases will be mad, and that's fine. But I think it's very difficult to argue anyone other than Hopkins as the best in the league.
