Just when you think you've seen, or in this case smelled it all. Now, Miami Dolphins fans can pay to sniff Odell Beckham's jockstrap through a scented candle.
The cheeky candles have just been released by BetUS. The company's head content editor, Andres Vargas says, “Light up this jockstrap candle and catch a whiff of game day grit—sweat, and adrenaline. It’s the scent of worn leather, fresh turf, and the fierce determination that defines every game."
Beckham is a wide receiver for the dolphins who is known for his fashion and sex appeal off the gridiron.
Why Sniff Odell Beckham's Jockstrap
Part of the sales pitch is that you can now bring a piece of the locker room into your living room. Yep, that same smell most people try to rid their homes of, especially parents of young athletes. Now you can pay $50 for a candle that gently wafts the scent as well as other rugged notes, through your home.
Have you ever smelled a locker room? If yes, then my question is, why on earth would you intentionally want to bring that stench in your clean home, not to mention the funk of a sweaty jockstrap? Unless that is your thing. Then go on with your bad self.
Perhaps it's more gimmick than gusto. Creators describe the candle's smell like this. "Odell’s signature notes of wood, citrus, amber, green lavender, and neroli flower and the sexy musk of a successful gameday."
That sounds a lot more appealing than musty locker rooms and jockstraps. The candle measures six, as in ounces not inches. Sorry, could not resist. It comes in two colors as pictured above.
The holidays are just around the corner. Perhaps you could have fun with this as a stocking stuffer for a Dolphin's fan or friend who appreciates a perfectly toned, scantily clad physique. As for the smell, the jury is still out.
