There are no bad teams in the NFC North. The Minnesota Vikings lead the way with a 5-0 record behind the renewed career of quarterback Sam Darnold. The Detroit Lions are legit Super Bowl contenders at 4-1, although they received a massive blow to their chances with the loss of Aidan Hutchinson Sunday. The Green Bay Packers youth movement is led by quarterback Jordan Love as they sit at 4-2. And the formerly lowly Chicago Bears are also 4-2 with the quickly developing rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
That's right. Two teams with 4-2 records are in last place! Could all four NFC North teams make the playoffs? Yes. The division winner and the remaining three teams may all be good enough to make the playoffs this year.
NFC NORTH BEST NFL DIVISION
NFC North Best NFL Division by far: Not too long ago a statement like that would have been considered ridiculous. The NFC North used to be Aaron Rodgers and his Green Bay Packers and everybody else. The Packers used to cake walk their way through the division with an occasional challenge from the Minnesota Vikings while the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears were little more than schedule fillers.
With so many good NFL teams clustered in one division, winning the North division means a great deal of importance will be placed on winning as many of the six divisional games as possible. More so than normal. Thus far there has only been one divisional game on the schedule. The Vikings beat the Packers earlier in the season. This Sunday the Lions travel to Minnesota to play the Vikings. In two weeks the Lions play at the Packers. In Week 11 the Packers play at the Bears. Many more divisional games will come in December.
NFC North Best NFL Division: In the end the cream will rise to the top. It promises to be a fun ride as the NFL season unfolds. And we will be here for every bit of it.
