Cowboys and Giants will Teach us Who is Bad

The Cowboys and Giants are two flawed teams that will play on Thursday Night Football. The outcome of the game will teach us more about who is bad more so than who might be good.

Most of the Cowboys off-season mired itself with long and unnecessary contract negotiations with its star players. In the end wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott reset the financial markets at their respective positions. If owner Jerry Jones is such a shrewd businessman why did he let these talks fester only to cave in the end and pay top dollar. Other than Lamb and Prescott the Cowboys have linebacker Micah Young. That's it. Those are the three good players the Cowboys have. Oh, and their kicker is good.

COWBOYS AND GIANTS

The Cowboys opening day win over the Browns appears to be fools' gold. The Browns stink. That was followed by two home losses to the Saints in a blowout and the Ravens. Dallas needs a win badly Thursday night.

As for the Giants, where do we begin? They were crushed by a good Vikings team opening day. They lost to a Commanders team that failed to score a touchdown against them. But they managed a win vs the bad Browns team we mentioned earlier.

The Giants have a highly paid quarterback in Daniel Jones that nobody seems to like. Yet, he has a superstar rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers that might be good enough to save Jones' career in New York. Watch how popular Jones becomes if he continues to connect with Nabers in the end zone!
