Patriots vs Jets: Reasons to Watch

Spooky Jets on Halloween

I tried to come up with reasons to watch Patriots vs Jets tonight on Thursday night football. Well, first of all, it is a football game. So there is that. But normally, there are a handful of teams that I find utterly boring to watch. Historically those teams have been the Patriots... even when they were good they were dull. Other that Tom Brady, they rarely had marquis superstars on their roster.

The other teams include the Jets who have been a 50 year long train wreck. And I will throw in the Panthers and Commanders as historically boring teams. Good thing there are 28 other teams to watch.

PATRIOTS VS JETS

So where does that leave us for Thursday night's Patriots vs Jets matchup? Here are some reasons to watch. First of all, again, it is football. Watching the oldest man in the league Aaron Rodgers (40) hand off to the youngest player in the league Braelon Allen (20) could be something. Garrett Wilson is another exciting Ohio State WR in the league so that might be exciting. CB Sauce Gardner can be entertaining. And overall, head coach Robert Saleh seems to be coaching for his job every week.

Watching the Patriots with enthusiasm is a bit more difficult. They are led by 15 year back up quarterback Jacoby Brissett, while first round draft pick Drake Maye waits his turn. Other than that the average football fan can't name three more players on this roster. But I am amazed this team beat the Bengals Week One so anything can happen.
