The Villages Woman: She Methed Up and Ran a Stop Sign

The Villages Woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after running a stop sign in her golf cart, leading to a police search that uncovered the drugs.

Ah, the Villages, Florida. A peaceful, yet wild retirement community where golf carts and cars alike are adorned with symbolic loofas. And if the swingers parties aren't wild enough, just invite this lady. Meet Marjorie Martinka, a 53-year-old villager from the historic side of town. She got herself into just a bit of trouble with the local police. You see, Marjorie was cruising around in her golf cart when she blew right through a stop sign. Look, you can sing, you can swing, but don't ever blow a stop sign in the Villages.

Now, according to The Villages News,  Marjorie isn't a stranger to breaking the law. This Pennsylvania native has a rap sheet, including a past DUI while driving... Yep, you guessed it... A golf cart. So, when the cops pulled her over, they checked her Florida ID and knew they had a repeat offender on their hands.

The Villages Woman Arrested:

Lady Lake Police Department

However, this wouldn't be much of a story if all she did was blow a stop sign in the Villages. See, the police called in the K-9 unit and the dog did its thing and alerted them to something suspicious in the golf cart. They searched and found a clear plastic baggie with some meth tucked under a towel! They also found the meth sidekick too. A glass pipe. Looked like Marjorie was ready for a party. One of those wild parties in the Villages.

This wasn’t Marjorie’s first rowdy rodeo with the law either. Just last year, she had a run-in involving her boyfriend that ended in her arrest. This time, she got slapped with charges for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She got booked into Lake County Jail but was back on the streets after posting a $3,500 bond. Now who's ready to take another swing at things here in the Villages?

Florida Woman Makes Viral Post With Sheriff Vehicle, Gets Busted For Drug Possession

Time for the story of Talea Saylor, who ran afoul of the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office in Englewood, Florida. It all started innocently enough when Talea posed on top of a Charlotte County Sheriff vehicle. The suv was parked at a dealership and she saw this as a perfect opportunity for a viral post. Unfortunately the Sherriff's Office saw the post. What do you think they're doing when they're parked on the side of the road? Scrolling, no doubt.

I'm sure they were annoyed by this woman standing on their vehicle, but the picture is a little blurry. No way you can identify her. Until....

From the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office: "A few days later, one of our Marine Patrol deputies was in the area of Chadwick Cove and noticed two suspects on a familiar 26ft sailboat. The owner of the boat was arrested the day prior and had not yet been released from jail. Contact was made with boat owner via the jail watch commander who advised he did not give anyone permission to be on his boat."

Inside the boat, the cops found a glass pipe, various drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine. Doing meth on a stolen boat? Let's take a look at the charges our Florida woman is facing.

Burglary of an Occupied Conveyance Unarmed
Possess Controlled Substance without Prescription
Drug Paraphernalia - Possession or Use Of
MARIJUANA- POSSESS NOT MORE THAN 20 GRAMS
It all started with a two fingered salute from atop a sheriff vehicle. So, ready for the mugshot?

Talea Saylor

I'm sure she was just holding the meth for someone else.

On The Boat

Her accomplice, Briar Bloomer. Facing the same charges. How did these two manage to get a boat off the dock? At least they're wearing life jackets. Safety first!
