Great college basketball coaches payoff in March. If you follow college basketball you know all the great coaches make a name for themselves in the month of March. No matter how many games they win, their legacy is determined by how many games, and eventually, how many Final Fours and National Championships they win during their careers.
All of the greats won titles. John Wooden at UCLA, Mike Krzyzewski at Duke, Bob Knight at Indiana, Dean Smith at North Carolina, and Jay Wright at Villanova are just a few coaches we consider great. And they all won in March.
So, as we wind down the month of February, the teams that will likely do well in the NCAA Tournament are playing really well right now. Teams that are struggling will probably have a short post season and get bounced from their Conference Tournaments and start working on next year. That is, if there is a next year. Those that are really struggling right now may not be invited back and be fired in the next few days.
But we stay positive and it is time to enjoy greatness. Below we posted trivia questions about the greatest college basketball coaches of all-time. We knowingly left many great names off the list. Nevertheless, we will have trivia on Craig Shemon and Company on ESPN Southwest Florida. Good luck!
