Kansas City Chiefs Parade Shooting Results in Multiple Injuries

Law enforcement and medical personnel respond to a shooting at Union Station during the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVIII victory parade on February 14, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Super Bowl parade celebration for the Kansas City Chiefs was marred by a shooting that resulted in eight to ten people injured.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department issued the following statement:

"At the conclusion of the Chiefs rally, shots were fired west of Union Station. We have detained two armed suspects. There are multiple victims. We ask anyone who witnessed the shooting to go to the southwest corner of Pershing and Main. We will provide updates as more information becomes available."

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Kansas City PD has informed those at the parade who were separated from their child that Union Station is the only location for child reunification.

Footage from the Chiefs Parade shows a chaotic scene of multiple law enforcement and first responder units in action following the shooting.
