MIAMI HURRICANES TAKE A KNEE!

Miami Hurricanes take a knee!  If you have been under a rock the last week perhaps you are unaware of the travesty the Miami Hurricanes committed on the football field last week.  The Hurricanes all but wrapped up the game vs Georgia Tech.  All they had to do was take a knee, run out the clock, and enjoy a hard-earned victory.

But that's not what happened.  Coach Mario Cristobal mysteriously told his offense to hand the ball off to Don Chaney Jr.  He fumbled.  Georgia Tech recovered.  Then, with :02 left in the game Georgia Tech scored a touchdown and won the game 23-20.  Later photographs appeared to show Chaney was down and the fumble should have been reversed.  But ACC supervisor of officials Alberto Riveron indicated the officials did not have proper evidence to overturn the call on the field.

Even more mysterious to me, I have read that Cristobal and the Hurricanes have never taken a knee in their previous victories this year.  And many callers on my radio show reminded me he didn't take a knee while coaching at Oregon.  Has he not heard of the Miracle at the Meadowlands in 1978 where the Eagles Herm Edwards (yes, that Herm Edwards) returned a botched Giants handoff to steal the game for Philly?

Since then, quarterbacks are coached to take a knee and safely run out the clock.  It's a play called Victory Formation!

But now, I'm curious if Cristobal learned from his mistakes.  It's possible we won't find out for a few weeks because the Hurricanes have a couple of hard games coming up vs North Carolina and Clemson.  We might not find anything out until October 28th when the Hurricanes host a bad Virginia team.

It's rare in the U.S. to come across a nude beach, but two of the best nude beaches in the world are right here in Florida.

Picture this: you arrive at the beach, whether it be Sanibel, Fort Myers, Naples or Bonita, wearing your best bikini, ready to unwind and enjoy hot summer sun. Then you look to your left, and to your right, and see people wearing a little less than you, or nothing at all. It's a common sight in Europe, but here in the U.S. not so much. However, there are some nude beaches to be found and in fact, two in Florida are among the best in the world.

I feel like a serious hazard for nude sunbathing would be the sun. Sure, your arms, legs and face get exposure day to day, but some parts of us don't regularly see the sun. It might be a two person job to get to those hard-to-reach areas. Let's also not forget that sand is, well, sandy. I always say my least favorite part of the beach is the sand. It's pretty and feels good between your toes, but if you're in the buff that sand can get to places sand should never go.

A swimwear company called Pour Moi put out its list of the best beaches in the world for nude sunbathing. In Florida, two beaches made the list. Coming in at #20, Playalinda Beach located inside Canaveral National Seashore in Brevard County. Haulover Beach Park in Miami came in at #1. You can see the full list here. The top 5 are below.

Playa de los Muertos is known as the ‘entrance gate’ to Cabo de Gata-Níjar natural park. This park has some of the best nude beaches in Spain.

Patara Beach is the longest beach on the Turkish Riviera. Not only great for sunbathing, this beach also offers horseback riding and surfing.

Red Beach gets its name from the red lava rocks. They make for great scenery and also offer a cover while nude sunbathing. 

Praia de Tambaba is a clothing optional beach. The gorgeous water and soft, white sand make for a great setting for sunbathing. 

Haulover Beach Park in Miami takes the top spot. It's a hot spot year-round in South Florida and if you want to bring the family, there are designated spots for those looking to sunbathe nude.
