Universal Orlando made an announcement that they will be closing a very popular attraction for good.
This news couldn't break my heart more. From the very first time I went to Universal Orlando, I fell in love with Poseidon's Fury. If you haven't experienced this show at Universal's Islands of Adventure, time is ticking. The park announced that the attraction will close for good on May 10th. The last day to catch the show will be on May 9th.
The show is about 20 minutes long and is full of fire, water, lasers and follows an archeologist on an adventure through the ruins of the ancient Temple of Poseidon. It's the coolest.
Poseidon's Fury has been at Universal since it opened in 1999 and according to WFLA, Universal said in a statement that it will be replaced with "exciting new experiences", though what exactly remains unknown.
Now is a great time to be a Florida resident too if you're a fan of Universal. There's an amazing ticket deal going on right now where you can enjoy 3 at Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure for the price of one day through September 29th. The deal is only available online. You can find more information here
