Everyone's favorite corny football coach, Ted Lasso, is back in a new trailer for the upcoming third season. In the trailer for Ted Lasso Season 3, The Rolling Stones' “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” plays, we see Ted (Jason Sudeikis) slightly smiling as he walks through the locker room. Nate (Nick Mohammed) is now working for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United. But he doesn’t appear to be thrilled with his situation. Ted, Beard (Brendan Hunt), and Roy (Brett Goldstein), meanwhile, try to keep everyone on track at AFC Richmond. Keeley (Juno Temple) is settling into her new role as the boss of her own PR firm.
After avoiding a breakup in the season two finale, it looks like Keeley and Roy still need to figure out how their relationship is going to work. In the trailer, the two sit on a soccer-theme bed and hold hands, before Jamie (Phil Dunster) comes barging in. Both men look surprised. It seems like ke things are going to get more complicated.
Ted scrunches up his hands into fists and his eyes dart; he is probably struggling with panic attacks despite his cheery outlook. And finally, it seems as though Jamie has been accepted by his teammates once more, including Sam (Toheeb Jimoh). His character made a complete breakthrough in season two and has become a fan-favorite.
Per the official description of the new season:
"the newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them to finish last in the Premier League and Nate, now hailed as the 'wonder kid,' has gone to work for Rupert at West Ham United. In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard. Meanwhile, Ted deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is focused on defeating Rupert, and Keeley navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway."
The cast of the series also includes Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Cristo Fernandez, Kola Bokinni, Billy Harris, and James Lance.
Ted Lasso returns to AppleTV+ on March 15 with three new episodes, as we previously reported. The subsequent episodes will drop weekly thereafter with a total of 12 episodes for the season. Watch the trailer below:
