Dolphins on Sunday Night Football

Dolphins on Sunday Night Football

The Miami Dolphins have come back to earth after an electric 3-0 start to the season. The main reason for this is two-fold. 1) It's the NFL- these thing happen. And 2) TUA. Tua was knocked out of their Thursday night loss at Cincinnati with a nasty looking concussion. He has been out since then. Since then the Dolphins have not had the same Quarterback start and finish a game. Tua is back for Sunday night's game at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers. But the return of the Quarterback isn't the only reason Fins fans should be excited for this game. The Miami Dolphins will be wearing their 1972 throwback uniforms for the first time this season for Sunday Night Football. One of the best uniform combinations in the entire league. I am one of those fans who would love to see these become the permanent threads for the Fins.

Dolphins on Sunday Night Football

Another reason Fins fans are pumped for this game is when it is being played. The Dolphins on Sunday Night Football has been a rare thing. Miami has only been on Sunday Night Football 3 times since 2006! That is by far the fewest appearances. What should scare fans is the team's record on SNF... 0. They have never won on Sunday Night Football. they are 0-3. Every other franchise has a win on SNF. This is a massive game for the Dolphins and how they are perceived across the league. They have had big wins this season, but they have all been in the 1 o'clock window. Most of the country doesn't see all of those games. The country will be watching Sunday night.

The Steelers are not great. But a convincing win by the Fish, and some will start to take notice. And it will be nice to see the Dolphins on Sunday Night Football.

NFL WEEK 6 TRIVIA ON WIKI-PETE-IA

NFL Week 6 is in the books and it's time to test Pete and Chris' short term memory recall.  We will recap the NFL's most recent events with NFL Week 6 Trivia on Wiki-Pete-ia on the Shemon and Sheppard Show .

In case you are not fortunate enough to be lucky caller number nine at 239-337-ESPN, then you are in luck!  Play at home and dazzle your family!  Stump your co-workers with useless knowledge!  Amaze your friends with your newfound intelligence!  Below are the actual questions AND ANSWERS heard during Wiki-Pete-ia on our show.

A lot is going on around the league.  The Broncos have just lost their 2nd straight OT game.  As bad as they are, they could be 4-2 instead of 2-4.  There is a thin margin for error in the NFL and unfortunately coach Nathaniel Hackett is feeling the brunt of Broncos Nation.  It was also a crazy week where Tom Brady and the Bucs lost as double digit favorites to the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers and the Packers lost as a heavy favorite at Lambeau to the Jets.  Go figure.  That's life in the NFL.

So before we look forward to Week 7, let's take one more look back at Week 6 with trivia on Wiki-Pete-ia.

Good luck to you!
