Bob Saget, who was known for his role as Danny Tanner on Full House, was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando on Sunday afternoon. He was 65.
He had been on a standup comedy tour and performed a show in Jacksonville, Fla., on Saturday night before his passing.
Saget played "America's Dad" on the ABC sitcom which aired from 1987 to 1995. The cast also included John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who traded places portraying Michelle.
The former America’s Funniest Home Videos host was survived by three of his own children — Audrey, Lara and Jennifer. Saget welcomed his girls with then-wife Sherri Kramer while they were married from 1982 to 1997.
He married Kelly Rizzo, a journalist who hosts her own digital series, “Eat Travel Rock TV,” in October 2018 in California, nearly one year after their engagement.
“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today. He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the Saget family said in a statement to Page Six.
“Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”
Circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear at this time.
