Young Estero teen Casey Bishop wowed American Idol judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie during her amazing audition on Sunday.
The 15-year-old performed a reimagined cover of Mötley Crüe's "Live Wire."
While that performance was impressive on its own, Katy Perry also wanted "to hear some of the Ella Fitzgerald that she likes."
"It’s just going to show us a little bit of the difference and the soul part of your voice," Perry said.
Bishop didn't hesitate and left the judges in complete awe with her rendition of Sarah Vaughan's take on "My Funny Valentine."
Mötley Crüe took to Twitter to congratulate Bishop for her outstanding performance.
Luke Bryan was completely blown away and even said, "I think she’s the damn winner of American Idol. Period."
Bishop, a sophomore at The Center for the Arts at Cypress Lake High School, received a unanimous "yes" from the judges and will proceed to the Hollywood rounds.
Her performance has gone viral on Youtube and has 2,311,697 views. Watch the full performance below:
