Ugly Christmas Sweaters, The Ultimate Guilty Pleasure

There's a lot of fun elements about the Christmas season, but there aren't many (or any) elements that are as funny as ugly Christmas sweaters. Ugly Christmas sweaters have always been a thing, but the trend wasn't always so self-aware. According to Time, it was around 2001 that hipsters began to bring self-consciously ugly sweaters into the mainstream. And unlike most things that hipsters enjoy, this was something that was fun for everybody.

Here are some great ugly sweaters that we've seen this year. (Many of them are available as sweatshirts, FYI).

"I Just Want To Bake Stuff and Watch Christmas Movies All Day" - Who doesn't? Well, if that's not your mantra, surely it is for someone in your life, grinch. Buy it at Amazon.

Jingle Bell Rock - Because if there's one thing that Americans can agree on, it's that the Rock is awesome. Get it at Etsy.

Christmas Cats- For the person who loves cats and Christmas. Get it at Etsy .

Jingle Baller - For the basketball-loving Christmas enthusiast. Get it from Tipsy Elves.

Gaudy Garland Ugly Christmas Sweater - Not for the subtle. It's $64.95 at Tipsy Elves.
