Gov. Ron DeSantis was in for a surprise when he went to his assigned polling location to vote on Monday. He was told that his primary address was changed to a new address on Pretty Lane in West Palm Beach.
Governor DeSantis did not authorize this change of address.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement contacted the Supervisor of Elections office in Leon County and traced the IP address of the person who changed the governor's address. The IP address was located in Naples, Florida.
The IP address was subscribed to Rose Acevedo. When law enforcement went to the home, they found Anthony Steven Guevara, Emilio Acevedo, and Rosa Acevedo at the home.
Steven Guevara, 20, showed law enforcement exactly how he was able to change the governor's address.
He told officers that he changed the governor's address to the address of a popular YouTuber.
He was also able to access the voter information of public figures like Rick Scott, Michael Jordan, and Lebron James.
He was taken to the Collier County Jail where he was placed on a $5,000 bond.
