What Is #MakeItBlue?
#MakeItBlue is a global campaign to show our appreciation for all those on the frontlines while doing our part to stay home. Individuals are encouraged to turn their social media feeds blue by posting fun and engaging videos, photos, selfies, Tik Tok challenges, and more — anything positive is acceptable, as long as you #MakeItBlue!
These efforts began with #LightItBlue, a tremendously successful ‘thank you’ campaign for essential and frontline workers in which stadiums, arenas, government buildings, arts institutions, and other landmarks lit up blue in hundreds of cities and other communities around the world.
Now, and for as long as the frontline workers have to keep going to work to fight COVID-19, we’re going to keep the gratitude flowing for them with #MakeItBlue.
How Can I Get Involved?
It's now our turn in the gaming community to show our support and Make It Blue. This will take many forms, and your creativity is encouraged! We all have something special we offer to the gaming community. Whether it be a live stream, fan art, music, memes, singing, cosplay, or even competitive esports, you have something to offer. And we're asking you to make that special something blue! Use #MakeItBlue as you show off the special twist on your talents!

Attention all streamers! If you'd like to support the cause, here are some free stream assets that you can use. You don't need to credit anyone, we only ask that you pass on the message of Make It Blue and encourage others to do the same with #MakeItBlue. Check out those free downloadable assets below.
You can also take things one step further! Set up a new background. Get some neon lights. Dye your hair blue, or maybe just play a water-themed game like Subnautica. There's no right or wrong way to #MakeItBlue as long as you use the color blue.
More Fun With Blue Cosplay
Cosplayers! We haven't forgotten about you! Now's your chance to show off your talents. Use #MakeItBlue and show off your best blue cosplays. Dust off that old Mega-Man helmet or get out the body paint and show us your best Lapis Lazuli. It all counts as we get into the spirit!
We're running our Quarantine Cosplay photo contest, where you can win a $100 gift card to JOANN Fabrics & Craft store. Upload your best cosplay that you’ve created during your stay at home to enter. AND if you enter the contest and you #MakeItBlue, you'll get an EXTRA entry into the contest.
Looking for something to do while under quarantine? Check out the Shutdown Showdown! It's a charity APEX Legends tournament benefiting No Kid Hungry. The tournaments are running on Tuesdays throughout April with proceeds going to charity. It's just $10 to enter and you can enter solo or with your friends. Check it out here!
