How To Stay Safe If You're Running During Quarantine

During quarantine, people are trying to find different outlets to keep entertained and healthy. One easy, contactless, way to stay fit is to run outside. But how safe is running outside during the coronavirus pandemic? Here are some tips, via Buzzfeed News:

Take a rag or tissue with you - this will help if you have to touch surfaces going in or returning from your run. They also recommend them for wiping sweat from your face.

Bring a mask - The CDC recommends that everyone wear a face mask in public. Since it's unrealistic to wear one the entire run, Buzzfeed News recommends bringing one and only using it in crowded areas.

Keep your distance - If you live in a busier city, create space while you are working out. Distance yourself from other runners, create a bubble, and respect the bubbles of others around you. They ought to also be conscious of panting or breathing hard around others.

Run Solo -  Although many choose to run in groups, running solo will keep you away from others and safer.
