After five years of inactivity, driver Mike Wallace is returning to NASCAR.
The 61-year-old has signed on with JD Motorsports to take part in the July 4th Xfinity Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, his team announced Tuesday.
Wallace previously competed for JD Motorsports from 2009 through 2013.
The upcoming event will mark a milestone for Wallace, who participated in the first-ever Xfinity Series race in 2012.
